Interesting Magazine for Soccer Tournament volunteers and parents
I’ve been a soccer parent for about 10 years. I’ve attended many, many tournaments over the years. Some have been well run, with good communication, fields and scheduling and others have been close to disastrous in their inability to keep games running on time, field opponents that are competitive, or provide quality venues. I didn’t give the “behind the scenes”of tournaments any thought until I was called into action as a volunteer Tournament Director for my local comp soccer program. Suddenly, all the aspects I’d taken for granted came into view. Schedules, Venues, Volunteers, Referees, Advertising, Registration, etc. Soccer Tournament Magazine is catering to a specific and unique niche. There doesn’t seem to be anything else quite like it. Although it didn’t give me any point-by-point advice, it was helpful to see other (larger and grander) tournaments discussed. It was inspirational to see all the possibilities, both for future tournaments I organize and also as a parent who would like to see my daughter’s teams experience a large and grand travel tournament. My hope is that the magazine will continue its inspirational pieces but also work in more tips for volunteer organizations. I’d like to see the inner workings of these big tournaments broken down for the thousands of smaller tournaments and clubs to be able to take the experience and advice and apply it to make our smaller tournaments more easily managed and attended. The beauty of youth soccer is in the ability of small communities to come together and put out quality programs for kids. I think this magazine is poised to be able to provide real insight and tournament growth opportunities to those community clubs all over the US. Overall, a good magazine for soccer parents and soccer club volunteers. I’m excited to see future and stories, pick up some tips, and learn about vendors that may be new to the tournament scene.
Cool App
Interesting that its an app that has magazines rather than a magazine that has a newsstand publication. However the UI is silky smooth and the scroll swipe functions are clean. The magazines look impeccable.
